About You
Are you struggling with anxiety, depression, or stress? Using substances to manage difficult emotions? Feeling stuck in shame or guilt? Maybe you’re navigating a life transition—or wishing you had the confidence to make one. Perhaps you’re questioning an important relationship, finding it hard to focus, or wondering about your sense of purpose.
Whatever brings you here, you don’t have to face it alone.
If you live in California or Illinois, I invite you to reach out and schedule a free consultation call. We can talk about what’s been going on and discuss how therapy might help you move toward the change or clarity you’re seeking.
This is a 100% inclusive and non-discriminatory practice. Everyone is welcome.
About Me
Growing up in a multicultural family that moved often, I became fascinated early on by people—their stories, their ways of being, and the many forms that identity can take. As an undergraduate, I was drawn to the arts, literature, and religion, imagining a future as a museum curator or art director, helping others find meaning and joy through creative expression.
But life had other plans. In my early twenties, I witnessed loved ones struggle with their mental health, and I experienced my own bout of anxiety and self-doubt—at a time when those conversations weren’t as open as they are today. That experience shifted something in me. In trying to understand both myself and the people I cared about, I found my way to psychology and discovered a calling to help others heal.
I earned my master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from The Family Institute at Northwestern University. Over the years, I’ve worked in community mental health as a practitioner, administrator, and clinical supervisor, before opening my private practice in 2017. Today, I’m licensed in both Illinois and California, where I’m honored to work with a diverse and inspiring range of clients. You can read more about my therapeutic approach in my blog post, “What Kind of Therapy Do I Need?”
When I’m not engaged in this work I truly love, you can find me at the gym, in a yoga class, or spending time with my husband, friends, and our cat. I also enjoy needlework, watercolor, reading, and travel—and yes, the occasional binge-watch. Meditation, however, remains my favorite way to escape without really escaping.
